Training Logs Feb 25- Mar 17, 2019


Training Log February 25- March 3, 2019: 38.9 miles.

Monday – 6.2mi @ 9:08. Nice and easy.

Tuesday – REST DAY!!

Wednesday – 6.6mi @ 9:09. On the treadmill because of thunderstorms. Wasn’t feeling it, but was able to keep ~7:20 pace for the 10 hard minutes.

Thursday – 8.1mi @ 7:59. Can tell my body is still recovering, but a decent steady run.

Friday – REST DAY!!

Saturday – 10.0mi @ 7:59. A fairly comfortable steady run. Stability session.

Sunday – 8.0mi @ 8:41. Easy peasy.


Training Log March 4-10, 2019: 47.7 miles.

Monday – 8.1mi @ 7:49. Felt truly good for the first time in a while! Stability session.

Tuesday – 6.3mi @ 7:57. Speed work! 10x400 with 30sec rest. Hard effort for the first real speed work in a while. Repeats between 1:37-1:45.

Wednesday – REST DAY!!

Thursday – 10.1mi @ 7:41. Kept a mindfully harder than easy effort throughout. Felt okay.

Friday – REST DAY!!

Saturday – 13.1mi @ 8:02. In New Orleans. Tough to stay in this run mentally, but pushed through with a steady effort. Stability session.

Sunday – 10.1mi @ 8:53. Legs feeling good, just a nice run in the Big Easy.



Training Log March 11-17, 2019: 48.5 miles.

Monday – 3.3mi @ 8:52. Nice and easy start to the week. Stability session.

Tuesday – 8.1mi @ 8:45. This felt good! Legs great, but kept it easy.

Wednesday – 8.1mi @ 8:09. 25min of hard effort (7:02 avg.) with warm-up and cool-down. Legs okay. Stability session.

Thursday – 8.0mi @ 8:59. Easy bridge run.

Friday – REST DAY!!

Saturday – 14.0mi @ 8:09. A sunny southern California afternoon run. Warmer than I’ve been used to, so a bit of a struggle, but hit the MP miles at 7:08, 6:50.

Sunday – 7.0mi @ 9:04. Took a mile or so to loosen up, but felt good once I got going. Stability session.
